Choose products that will be rich in ingredients that reduce transepidermal water loss (the so-called TEWL). This is the basis of dry skincare. Avoid alcohol in creams or tonics. It irritates!
What ingredients should you look for when it comes to the care of dry skin? Mainly glycerol, paraffin, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and dimeticon. Ceramide present in emollients intended for atopic skin will also be beneficial.
Dry skin care - how to wash it?
Dry skin requires the use of very delicate ingredients. She is very, very delicate! Soap can make it even drier. It is recommended to use products intended for atopic skin, e.g. washing bars containing detergents without allergens. The addition of vitamin E and glycerin guarantees that the skin will retain its lipid coat, prevent moisture loss, and will be elastic. No care will change that!
What about taking a bath?
Pat your skin dry, using only a soft towel. Avoid rubbing the skin hard. Immediately after drying your skin, apply a moisturizing lotion to it to keep it properly hydrated. People with dry and atopic skin that is prone to irritation should apply the care ingredients even several times a day!
Can you take care of your skin all day long?
Beauty care is not only what we do after waking up or before going to bed! Use gloves when you do your homework. Avoid staying in an air-conditioned room for a long time.
